WordPress 3.1 Review
We're a web shop where Drupal and WordPress are our bread and butter. They're a couple great opensource CMS's. Well, WordPress just got even better with WordPress 3.1.
The Goodies
- Redesigned Linking Workflow
- Admin Menu Bar
- Streamlined Writing Interface
- Refreshed Blue Admin Scheme
Redesigned Linking Workflow

Linking in WordPress has always been as easy as highlighting text and then adding where you want the link to go to, but now it's even easier to add links. Simply highlight the text and select one of the pages on your site. You also have the option to have the link open in a new window, and add title text to appear when people hover over the link.
Admin Menu Bar
One of the best additions to WordPress with version 3.1 is the Admin Menu Bar. This makes it so that your most needed pages are only a click away, no matter where you are on your site or where you are on a page.
Streamlined Writing Interface
One of the greatest benefits of WordPress has always been that it's easy to use and not intimidating compared to other CMS systems out there. Using WordPress is even less of a pill to swallow now that you only see what you absolutely need when editing your website.
Refreshed Blue Admin Scheme
Not really a big deal, but perhaps a nice change for your Thursday's could be changing your admin area to be blue. This is done under your user profile.
Along with these goodies, or new features in WordPress, the creators tout WordPress as being more of a CMS than ever before. That means we can offer you the clean & easy interface of WordPress while allowing your site to have more dynamic features that could only be had before with a Drupal Website.

So Easy
When we introduce clients new WordPress sites to them within 10 minutes they comment on how easy it is. This new version of WordPress makes it even easier to manage the content on your pages.
